Best CAT Mock Test Series: Match Your Weakest Section
Compare CAT mock-series prices, full mocks, sectionals, solutions and analytics with a scorecard built around your weakest CAT section.

Choose a CAT mock series with six checks: realistic full tests, percentile context, sectionals, solutions, analysis, and a next-attempt plan. Start with a free sample, use the scorecard below, then buy the named plan that clears it.
What Makes a CAT Mock Series Worth Buying?
A mock series earns its fee when it changes what you do next. A full-length mock should expose a timing or question-selection problem. Sectional tests should let you practise that exact problem. Solutions and analysis should show how to correct it.
A mock count alone cannot tell you that. T.I.M.E. includes 22 AIMCATs and 100 online sectionals in its Regular Self Study course, while Cracku sells 25 full mocks and 45 sectionals in its CAT 2026 Test Series. Those are different practice systems, even before you compare prices.
Write these headings in your notes before you compare plans: product name, total checkout price, access end date, score out of 14, weakest section, and the next action after a poor mock.
Use This CAT Mock-Series Scorecard
Score every plan from 0 to 2 in each row. Our rule of thumb is to buy only at 9 or more points, with no zero for weak-section practice, solutions, analysis, or purchase terms.
| Check | 0 Points | 1 Point | 2 Points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Full-test realism | No sample test | Timed sample | Timed sample plus interface practice |
| Percentile context | Score only | Percentile only | Percentile, cohort, attempt context |
| Weakest section | No sectionals | Sectionals only | Sectionals, drills, solutions |
| Solutions | Answer key | Text or video | Methods, errors, time choices |
| Analysis | Overall score | Section accuracy | Question time, attempts, topic breakdown |
| Review plan | No clear access | Release calendar | Calendar, replay, targeted retakes |
| Purchase terms | Unclear final fee | Plan price | Price, GST, access, exit terms |
A scorecard prevents a common mistake: buying a large test bank that gives no useful route from a weak DILR attempt to better DILR decisions. Use the provider’s sample test first, then fill in the score from the experience rather than from feature-list headlines.
How Many CAT Mocks Do You Actually Need?
Buy one main series first. One series is enough when it provides full mocks, targeted practice for your weak section, and reports you can use after every attempt.
Our rule is simple: take a full mock only when you have scheduled the next study session for review. In that review, name one concept gap, one question-selection error, and one pacing change for the next mock.
Add another series only when your first series stops producing fresh practice for your weakness. For example, a student who has used every DILR sectional may add a second source for new sets. A student who skips post-mock review should not add more full tests.
Career Launcher’s CAT 2026 Test Series includes 30+1 CAT mocks and 315 topic tests. Its Comprehensive version adds 45 CAT sectionals. Career Launcher’s plans separate those products, so compare the exact plan rather than the provider name.
Full-Length Mocks Versus Sectional Tests
Use full-length mocks to practise the whole attempt. They reveal whether you start too aggressively, stay too long on a bad set, or lose accuracy late in the test.
Use sectionals to repair one section. VARC sectionals reveal reading pace and option-selection errors. DILR sectionals reveal set selection and cut-loss decisions. QA sectionals reveal topic gaps, calculation speed, and careless errors.
After each full mock, spend two targeted sessions on the error that cost the most marks. A DILR student who chose two poor sets should practise early set selection. A QA student who lost marks in arithmetic should practise timed arithmetic questions, not another complete mock.
2IIM’s Full Test Series lists 30 full-length mocks, 12 sectionals, 8,000+ practice questions, and previous CAT papers in mock format. Cracku’s CAT 2026 Test Series lists 25 full mocks, 15 VARC sectionals, 15 DILR sectionals, and 15 Quant sectionals.
What Good CAT Mock Analysis Should Show
Good analysis separates speed from accuracy. A low score can come from a concept gap, poor question selection, a rushed guess, or spending too long on one question. Those failures need different practice.
Look for five report fields:
- Time spent on each question or set
- Correct, wrong, skipped, and attempted questions
- Topic or set-type breakdown
- Difficulty breakdown
- A percentile with enough context to interpret it
2IIM’s analysis lists question time, attempted percentage, percentile ranking, difficulty, and comparisons with average and topper scores. Career Launcher’s drill-down analysis identifies correct and incorrect attempts by topic. Cracku’s platform lists time-spent and difficulty analysis.
Use the report to write one sentence before the next attempt. For example: “I spent too long on the first DILR set, so I will reject a set after my first structured scan if the entry route is unclear.” That is an attempt plan. “Improve DILR” is not.

IMS publishes three SimCAT variants. SimCAT Core is the focused CAT mock option, while SimCAT Plus and Ultimate add wider learning or other-management-exam resources. IMS plan details list ₹6,750 + GST for Plus and ₹8,450 + GST for Ultimate.
Career Launcher’s product adds video solutions for its CAT mocks, recorded and live mock analysis, and 40+ mentorship sessions. Its product page also separates FLEXI mocks from PRO mocks. FLEXI mocks can be attempted after opening them. PRO mocks run on the provider’s scheduled windows.
2IIM’s page displays a lower sale price for its fuller bundle than for its Mock Pack. Use the named plan and displayed checkout figure, rather than assuming the higher original or struck-through price is the amount you will pay.
Mockat is the practical first stop for a student who needs a free diagnostic. Its Mocks Only plan includes full CAT mocks, sectionals, OMET mocks, video solutions, analytics, and an All-India percentile ranking. A free first attempt tells you whether its interface and review system help your weakness.
At Online Coaching 4u, we help students and parents compare coaching institutes and selected training providers. We list online, classroom, and hybrid CAT/MBA coaching options, while students browse, compare, send enquiries, and submit reviews without paying us.
Checklist Before You Buy CAT Mocks
Take this list to the provider’s product page or counsellor.
- Name the exact plan, not only the provider.
- Record the final price and GST treatment.
- Separate full CAT mocks from sectionals and non-CAT mocks.
- Take the free or sample mock under timed conditions.
- Check that your weak section has enough targeted tests.
- Open one solution and assess its teaching value.
- Open one score report and find time and accuracy data.
- Record the access end date.
- Read the refund, upgrade, and course-access terms.
- Decide the action you will take after your first poor mock.
A student with weak fundamentals should pair mocks with teaching. A student who knows the syllabus but makes test-day errors should favour sectionals, detailed analysis, and repeated full-test review.
FAQs
Are CAT Mock Percentiles Comparable Across Providers?
No, treat each provider’s percentile as a measure within that provider’s attempt pool. A 90 percentile from one mock platform does not automatically equal a 90 percentile from another platform. Use the trend within one main series to judge whether your approach is improving.
Should a Beginner Buy Only CAT Mocks?
No, a beginner with broad concept gaps needs teaching or structured practice alongside mocks. Mocks expose gaps, but they do not teach arithmetic, reading comprehension, or DILR methods by themselves. Choose a mock-led plan only when you can already identify and repair your own mistakes.
Is a 30-Mock Series Better Than a 25-Mock Plan?
No, the better plan is the one with useful sectionals, solutions, and analysis for your weak area. A 25-mock plan with 45 targeted sectionals can be more useful than 30 full mocks you never review. Compare the full-mock count and sectional count separately.
Do I Need CAT, XAT, and SNAP Mocks Together?
No, buy other-management-exam mocks only when those exams are part of your application plan. T.I.M.E., Mockat, and some Career Launcher products include OMET practice, but CAT-only preparation remains the cleaner purchase for a CAT-only shortlist.
