Green Mathematical Institute (GMI), founded in 2019 in Pazhavanthangal, Chennai, offers offline and online coaching for CSIR-NET Mathematics, GATE Mathematics and IIT JAM Mathematics, alongside Tamil Nadu-specific exams TNSET and PGTRB Mathematics, with instruction available in both English and Tamil. It also prepares students for NBHM and TIFR. GMI reports helping around 90-140 students join PhD programmes at institutions including IITs, IISc, IISERs and TIFR, and publishes qualifier counts across CSIR-NET, GATE, TNSET, IIT-JAM and NBHM, figures it reports itself rather than ones independently audited. Note: Green Mathematical Institute is a separate coaching centre and should not be confused with the Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI), an unrelated research institute and university.
