Allen vs Aakash: Compare Your Branch, Not the Brand

Allen vs Aakash has no winner on published fees or batch sizes, because third-party figures overlap and contradict each other. Compare the exact branch, batch and written quote you can get.

Updated 28 Oct 2026

A student at a desk compares two printed sheets side by side with a pen in hand.

Key takeaways

  • The brand does not settle the choice. The branch, the batch you would sit in and the itemised fee in writing do.
  • Published guides do not show a reliable gap between the two, so ask each branch for a written quote. A 10% scholarship on a ₹1,20,000 fee is ₹12,000, more than a ₹10,000 gap between the brands.
  • Before paying, ask each branch for an itemised fee, a batch number, named teachers, a dated test calendar and a written refund table.
  • Our directory lists branches of both institutes by exam, city, study mode and verification status. Students contact a branch through a callback request, not through us.

Allen and Aakash both run JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) and NEET programmes, and in Vadodara our directory lists a branch of Allen and a branch of Aakash. For most families the real choice is one branch, one batch and one fee quote against another, not one brand against another.

Published numbers do not settle it. In the four guides we compared, the fee ranges for the two overlap, and batch sizes for the same institute differ from page to page.

That makes the brand a weak guide and a written quote a strong one. Below are the fee comparison, a sheet that makes two branch visits comparable, and the checks that matter first for your class and city.

We publish this page and list branches of both institutes in our directory. We do not teach courses or collect fees.

Allen vs Aakash: which is better for NEET or JEE?

Neither is better across the board. Both run NEET and JEE programmes, so a one-line verdict such as "Allen for JEE, Aakash for NEET" cannot hold at brand level. The branch, the batch and the fee quote you receive decide which one suits you.

Allen's own site lists JEE (Main and Advanced), JEE Main, NEET UG (the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for undergraduate medical courses) and foundation courses for classes 6 to 10. It offers them as classroom, distance-learning and hybrid programmes, and it runs the Allen Scholarship Admission Test (ASAT). Aakash also runs both exams, including integrated school-plus-JEE/NEET programmes (see Aakash's JEE page).

A famous brand tells you about its average batch. You will sit in one.

How far apart are Allen and Aakash fees in published guides?

Not far enough to name a cheaper brand. In four third-party guides that put the two side by side, Aakash's range is ₹10,000 to ₹20,000 higher in two guides, ₹20,000 lower in one and about level in one. As of October 2026, none of these figures is a fee either institute has quoted you.

GuideAllenAakashAakash against Allen

SahiPadho (28 Sep 2026), 1-year classroom

₹1,10,000 to ₹1,70,000₹1,20,000 to ₹1,80,000₹10,000 higher at both ends

bestcoachings (2026 NEET guide)

₹1.2 to ₹1.8 lakh₹1.3 to ₹2.0 lakh₹10,000 higher at the low end, ₹20,000 at the high end

aglocom (undated), per year

₹1 to ₹2 lakh₹0.8 to ₹1.8 lakh₹20,000 lower at both ends

mbbsadvisor (undated)

₹1 to ₹2 lakh+₹1 to ₹2 lakhAbout level

Differences are our subtraction of the low and high ends printed in each guide, as of October 2026. Cerebrum Biology Academy, whose guide is cited below, runs its own competing NEET academy.

Two-year figures disagree too. AcademyCheck (25 Sep 2026) prices Aakash's Class 11 NEET two-year course at ₹3.50 to ₹4.80 lakh, and Cerebrum (undated) puts a two-year Aakash course at ₹2 to ₹3 lakh. So two guides price two-year Aakash courses at ₹2 to ₹3 lakh and ₹3.5 to ₹4.8 lakh, though they may not describe the same course.

Batch sizes show the same problem:

A scholarship can matter more than the brand gap. For illustration, a 10% scholarship on a ₹1,20,000 fee is ₹12,000, which is more than the ₹10,000 gap in the first guide and more than half the ₹20,000 high-end gap in the second. So compare fees after the scholarship, not before.

For a branch's own published figures, read its own centre page, such as Aakash's Manjalpur, Vadodara centre page. For general NEET and JEE fee levels, see our guides to NEET coaching fees in India and JEE coaching fees in India.

What should you compare instead of the brand?

Compare the branch's batch, teachers, tests and refund terms, and let your own situation decide which to check first. Here is our recommendation by situation.

Two classrooms side by side, one with a small batch of students and one with a much larger batch.
Batch size and teaching setup differ from one branch to the next, so each branch needs its own check.

Which checks should you run at each Allen and Aakash branch before paying?

Run the same eight checks at both branches, write the answers in two columns, and pay only after the refund table is in writing. Each check has a pass and a fail, so two branches become comparable on the same terms.

How do we help you find and compare Allen and Aakash branches?

Our directory lets you browse coaching institutes by exam, city, study mode and verification status, so you can find the Allen and Aakash branches within reach and send each a callback request. We do not run classes or take payments. You confirm fees, batches and refund terms with the branch.

A Verified badge means the institute shared its details and we verified them against trusted online sources. It says nothing about teaching quality, so it does not replace the eight checks. Status differs by branch. Our Allen Kota listing shows a Google rating of 4.3 from 5,305 Google reviews (checked October 2026) and no Verified badge yet, while our Aakash Noida listing carries a Verified badge and no ratings yet (as of October 2026). Google ratings appear separately from reviews collected on our platform.

Browsing, comparing, enquiring and reviewing cost students nothing. Start with your city in our coaching directory, request a callback from the Allen and Aakash branches near you, and bring the sheet above to each visit.

Frequently asked questions

It depends on the branch. The better choice is the branch with a named teacher per subject, a stated batch size, a dated test calendar and a written itemised fee and refund table.
Published guides do not show a reliable gap, so ask each branch for a written, itemised quote. Only that quote gives the fee you would actually pay.

Choose by branch, because both institutes run JEE courses. Allen's site lists JEE (Main and Advanced) and JEE Main programmes, and Aakash's JEE page lists its JEE programmes. Pick the branch with a stated batch size, named teachers, a dated test calendar and written fee and refund terms.

Only if the Kota batch beats your home branch on a named teacher per subject, a stated batch size, a dated test calendar and an itemised fee and refund table, after adding stay and travel to the fee. If a home-city branch has those same things in writing, in our view the saved cost favours staying.
Choose the batch, not the brand. Ask each branch for its first-term topic plan and compare it with the exam syllabus and your school textbooks. A batch that covers the exam syllabus from the basics suits a student whose board syllabus differs.
