NDA Coaching Online: Check Exam Date, SSB and Refund Terms

On the four provider pages we checked on 10 October 2026, fees for NDA coaching online ran from ₹2,800 for RankersBuzz's NDA (1) April 2027 course to ₹1,00,000 for Centurion Defence Academy's till-selection course. A sample of four pages is not the whole market, but it shows how wide the spread is.

On our arithmetic, the top fee is about 36 times the bottom one (₹1,00,000 ÷ ₹2,800 = 35.7). Our inference is that the gap reflects what is bundled: live against recorded teaching, and whether SSB means recorded lectures or in-person mock interviews. The table does not prove that, but it points that way.

Coaching is most useful for timed accuracy under negative marking in Mathematics (300 marks) and the General Ability Test (GAT, 600 marks, covering English and general knowledge), and for SSB practice (900 marks), which needs other people. Each written paper lasts 2.5 hours, and a wrong answer loses one-third of the marks for a question, per the UPSC notice.

As of 10 October 2026, UPSC's annual calendar 2027 lists the NDA I 2027 notice for 2 December 2026 and the exam for 11 April 2027. The NDA II cycle follows the pattern of the NDA II 2026 notice, which came out on 20 May 2026 for a 13 September exam.

Eligibility changes each cycle. For the Air Force and Naval wings, UPSC requires Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and students still appearing in Class 12 can apply. The birth-date window for the September 2026 exam was 2 January 2008 to 1 January 2011, and that window applied to that exam only. The window for NDA I 2027 will be set in the notice due on 2 December 2026, so check it there before choosing a course. The NDA I 2026 notice shows how the window moves between cycles.

Our view: written-exam material (video lessons, previous papers, test series) is widely available at low cost. The part worth paying more for is what you cannot easily replicate alone, which is timed practice and SSB rehearsal with other candidates.

Match the course to your weakest area, not to the longest feature list. This table is our recommendation, based on how the marks are split between Mathematics (300), GAT (600) and SSB (900).

The SSB stage follows the written stage, so you can delay SSB spending until you clear the written exam. The trade-off is a shorter SSB preparation window. If a bundled course already includes SSB at a fair price, taking it up front is simpler. Divide the fee by the months between payment and your exam. Our formula: cost per usable month = (fee + GST if not included) ÷ months before the exam. Count only months of access you will use.

Worked example for NDA I 2027, with an 11 April 2027 exam and payment six months earlier:

• Dehradun Defence Academy six-month plan: ₹10,999 ÷ 6 = about ₹1,833 a month. Check the end date, because six months from mid-October ends around the exam week.
• Dehradun one-year plan: ₹19,999 ÷ 6 usable months = about ₹3,333 a month, since the other six months fall after the exam.
• The extra six months cost ₹9,000 (₹19,999 − ₹10,999), or ₹1,500 a month. That is worthwhile only if you expect to need them for a retake or a late SSB call.
• Centurion Defence Academy gives the same pattern: ₹60,000 ÷ 6 = ₹10,000 a month for six months, against ₹70,000 ÷ 6 = about ₹11,667 a month for the one-year plan.
