A fee quote needs four labels
A CA fee only becomes comparable when it states the stage, whether it covers one or both groups, the teaching mode, and what is included. Srijjan's September 2026 Intermediate listing, for example, shows ₹20,000 for both groups online and ₹78,000 for both groups with face-to-face plus online access. Those are different products, not evidence of a national average.
ICAI's July 2026 live-learning FAQ shows why scope matters even within one provider: paid live virtual classes cost ₹1,000 for Foundation or one Intermediate group, ₹2,000 for both Intermediate groups, and recorded-only access costs ₹200 for one group or ₹400 for both.
The tuition quote is only one bill
The figure below separates official registration, one May 2026 exam entry, and ICAI paid live virtual classes. Commercial tuition is deliberately excluded because published commercial packages cover different stages, groups, modes and extras.
Fees That Sit Beside Tuition
Pay ICAI charges and commercial tuition separately
ICAI's course FAQ, last updated in 2024, lists registration at ₹9,000 for Foundation, ₹18,000 for Intermediate both groups, and ₹22,000 for Final both groups. ICAI's May 2026 exam fee chart lists exam fees separately: ₹1,500 for Foundation, ₹1,500 for one Intermediate group or ₹2,700 for both, and ₹1,800 for one Final group or ₹3,300 for both.
That separation matters when comparing a commercial course. Masterminds listed CA Final both-groups regular at ₹54,999, while Anoop Institute listed CA Intermediate both groups at ₹24,999. Neither displayed course price should be assumed to include every ICAI payment, later exam attempt, GST charge, or separate test-series purchase.
Three decisions move the quote by known amounts
- One group or both groups, +₹1,000 in ICAI paid Intermediate LVC. ICAI lists ₹1,000 for a single Intermediate group and ₹2,000 for both groups. Compare commercial single-group packages with both-group packages only after confirming their subject coverage.
- Live access or recorded access, +₹800 to +₹1,600 in ICAI paid LVC. The official single-group difference is ₹800, from ₹200 recorded-only to ₹1,000 live. The both-groups difference is ₹1,600, from ₹400 to ₹2,000.
- Classroom involvement, +₹58,000 in one dated Intermediate example. Srijjan's September 2026 both-groups online package is ₹20,000, while its face-to-face plus online package is ₹78,000. That difference belongs to that provider and package, not to the whole market.
Spend less without comparing less
- Ask for one written total that names the CA stage, group coverage, mode, materials, tests, taxes, access period and re-attempt terms.
- Price a single Intermediate group separately if that is the preparation you need. Do not infer that one group costs half of every both-groups package.
- Compare recorded access with live teaching where flexibility matters more than real-time participation.
- Check ICAI resources before buying Final add-ons. ICAI says Final-course SPOM materials are available at no extra cost to Final-registered students.
- Treat a test series as its own purchase unless it is explicitly included. CA Test Series and RCI Test Series publish materially different test formats and prices.
